A host of luxury and performance cars went under the hammer at the BCA Blackbushe Top Car Auction this week, including a McLaren MP4-12C and a nearly-new Jaguar F-Type. BCA said, "the high-end prestige and sports car market has a strong following with buyers and we have seen lots of interest in high value vehicles during 2013, with bidders prepared to invest six-figure sums for the right vehicle." Mercedes-Benz has built a six-wheeled – and six-wheel drive – Mercedes G63 AMG which isn’t just a one-off but is being produced to order. The Mercedes G63 AMG 6×6 is a six wheel, six-wheel drive, monster G-Wagon which you would normally think was a just a one-off monster created for an Arabian buyer. But this is actually a fully fledged AMG creation – so far they’ve built two of them – that you can actually order from Mercedes-Benz.

British sports car manufacturer Ariel - best known for manufacturing the big boy’s go-kart, the Atom - has pulled the covers off its first new motorcycle in more than 50 years. The Ariel Ace bike will be priced from around £20,000, and will be manufactured in small numbers alongside the Atom sports car at the Ariel headquarters in Somerset. The Ace will build upon Ariel’s relationship with Honda by featuring its 173bhp 1237cc V4 engine and drive system.
